Jean-Patrick Levasseur is an Ottawa native and a bilingual screenwriter. Following his studies at Ottawa University and work as proof reader for the House of Commons, Jean-Patrick graduated from Algonquin College’s Scriptwriting Program where he excelled in writing for film, theatre, television, and new media.


Jean-Patrick has since written scripts for corporate clients such as the Canadian Air Transport Safety Association, Canada’s Building Trades Union, the Department of National Defence, the Canadian Automobile Association, the Canadian Air Transport Security Authority, and the Ottawa Macdonald-Cartier International Airport Authority. His work with Statistics Canada opened the UN Forum on Statistics in 2014, and received an International Association of Business Communicator Awards in 2013. Jean-Patrick has also authored two feature length screenplays, The Grey Matter and Miss Green Teen, as well as television scripts in English and French for children’s programming and comedy series.
Currently Jean-Patrick is writing material for his stand-up comedy routine and developing a new screenplay.


When not immersed in his writing,  Jean-Patrick is an avid member of Ottawa’s Pub Quiz scene and a dedicated Ultimate Frisbee player.
